In my opinion, the issue of "gigantism" in CovertJapan scenes isn't that extreme at all - it's really subtle. But the proportions of the actresses are just a bit too wide/tall. I don't know that much about VR cameras, but maybe that means your lenses are just a tiny bit too close together?
If you use DeoVR, to see what I mean, you can change the default zoom from 1.0x to about 0.8x and then you might agree that the proportions suddenly look much more realistic.
If it matters, I'm using a Valve Index headset. I don't know if the scaling issue is any better/worse on other headsets.
