1. The studio provides us with the master file. We then encode any of our standard formats that are the same or lower resolution from that file. These master files are usually not available to download.
2. We get the largest download format available on the studio's site. We then encode any of our standard formats that are lower resolution from that file, and also provide a copy of the file as the highest option on POVR.
The first option gives higher image quality, but can mean that the highest resolution option we offer is a bit lower than the one on the studio's site if the size of the master is close to but below one of our formats.

Not sure that I understand this. If I download the huge “original” file which can be 40-50gb, is that different to what is on their own site?
